好きだった外国人女性スターを並べてみた 4
昨日は、少し取り乱してしまいました。
だってぇ～、 ふともも が～！
はい、気を取り直して今日は バナナラマ を。
突然のグループ登場！
そうなんです、川崎さん（ふ、古い！）
時は1986年。ディスコブーム全盛！！
類に漏れず、私もせっせとディスコ通いしていた頃、
ガンガンかかっていたのが、バナナラマ。
三人とも可愛いんですが、その中でもカレン・ウッドワードが
お気に入りでした。
ヴォーカル（と言っても三人とも歌ってるんですが）で、だいたい
センターポジションにいるのですが、これが
かわいい？ カッコいい？
そのどっちもな、今で言うところの「カッコかわいい」
なんです。
ディスコブームに乗ってヒット曲は数あれど、やっぱり
『VENUS』ですよね。
ただ、天の邪鬼な私がご紹介するのはそっちじゃなくて、
『I Heard a Rumour』です。

シェリル・ラッド。
知ってます？
テレビドラマ『チャーリーズ・エンジェル』に出てた方なんですが…。
小柄ながら大人なムード満点な方でして、当時
『ブランデー、水で割ったらアメリカン』
でおなじみの、サントリーブランデー「VSOP」のCMに出てました。
キリッとした感じの顔立ちがまた イイ んです！
そんな彼女は女優としてだじゃなく、歌手としても活躍してまして、
『チャーリーズ・エンジェル』のエンディングやCM使用曲が有名です。
CMの中では『ダンシング・アメリカン』と
『テイク・ア・チャンス』という曲を歌っています。
が、私は『ダンス・フォーエバー』が好きです。
何が好きって、曲はもちろんですが…。はい、ジャケットです。
なんとも 健康的な『ふともも』！！！！！

いや、先にも述べましたように小柄なんですが、すっごいプロポーションでして。
当時レコードを予約するとポスターが付いてきたのですが、毎朝起きると
シェリル・ラッドのふともも。
そりゃ、いい目覚めに決まってるでしょ？
ただ、今回家中探したのですがレコードが出て来ず (>_<)
歌詞なしですが、シェリル・ラッドの曲聴いてください。
曲も、 もちろん （ココ、強調！）イイですから。
で、どこ行ったんだろう、ふともも…。

この胸あたりを強調するジャケット。（これはアルバムですが、シングルの
ジャケットはその上。「ふともも」強調）
即、ノックアウトでしょ？
ただ、私の人生でホント最初に『綺麗な外国人女性』と認識した人は、
『チャーリーズ・エンジェル』でシェリル・ラッドの前任者だった
（昔はこの後に、「メジャース」がついてたんですけど、リー・メジャースと
離婚しちゃったので、「メジャース」がなくなりました。）
金髪＝外人さん
の公式が当時の私にはありまして、まさに、美人な外人さん１号でした。
はっきりした顔立ちに、ライオンのようなフサフサの髪。さらに
ナイスバディ！（重ね重ね、すみません！）
1980年頃の話ですから、シェリル・ラッドもファラ・フォーセットも
中坊の私にはちょっと刺激が強かったです ^^;
なお、ファラ・フォーセットは2009年に62歳で他界されました。

昨日紹介したエリザベス・シューと年代的には
前後するのですが、今日はパッツィ・ケンジットを。
と言って、すぐわかる人はきっと同年代ですよね^^;
彼女をヴォーカルに据えて1985年デビューし、いきなりデビュー曲が
大ヒットしちゃったのが、Eighth Wonder。
ま、ちょっとだけ “一発屋” 的雰囲気があるのは確かですが、
それはデビュー曲
『Stay with me』
が強烈過ぎたからでしょうね。
強烈過ぎた証拠に、サビ以外のところは、もうひとつ覚えてないんですm(_ _)m
ただ、当時ＭＴＶで彼女を見た時の衝撃ったら！！
この「美貌」にこの「声」。
彼女は当時、女優としても活躍していたわけですから、美しいのは
当然として、声ですよ、声！！
そりゃ、中坊の私なんざ、当然一発ノックアウトですワ ^^;
てか、MTV見るんなら曲を聴けよ！！って？ ですよね ^^;
