全英、全米のチャート1位を記録したのが、今日紹介する
『Don't you want me』。
邦題が『愛の残り火』。
よく思うのですが、この「邦題」を考えた人って、すごいですよね。
同じようなことを思っている方も多いはず。

この曲が収録されたアルバム『DARE』（「だれ」じゃなくて、「デアー」ね）は
全英では1位、全米では3位と、まさにビッグヒット！！
高校生だった私も、MTVなんかでよく聴いていました。
英語が不得意で、歌詞の内容もわからぬまま聴いていた私は、
『カッコイイ曲だな』、、、と思ったことを覚えています。
でも、なんかビデオの内容が…。
あらためて和訳を読んで…。
